By Santadio Ehime Xavier

There are many reasons that people have fallen in love with the Optimus Phone, including its versatility with Android apps. The phenomenon known as downloadable apps has taken the world by storm, especially for those with smartphones. There are over 70,000 apps available for you to browse and use since this is an Android smart phone. Optimus One also has this feature because it is also a smart phone. Simple to handle, this ergonomically designed smartphone is perfect for many people.

The Optimus One can respond in a respectable manner to the demands of 21st century web user. LG fans that are devoted followers will find this Android OS-based smart phone the perfect match.

The predecessor to the smartphone was simply called Optimus from which there were only a few modifications. One notable upgrade to the smartphone was the super fast processor that Google was responsible for implementing. Don't worry! This smartphone also has the ability to take pictures of your loved ones and capture videos that you can later upload. Taking pictures requires external lighting with this particular smartphone. The quality of the display is also nothing to brag about although it is comparable to average smart phones today. Probably the greatest feature of this phone is that it comes equipped to do wireless tethering. Of course that means WiFi and Bluetooth capability which is almost expected by the market, anymore. This phone also has a built-in digital compass with an accelerometer that is great for finding out exactly where you are. Although it has an expansion slot, the standard memory is simply not enough at 170 MB per phone. The battery on this unit is actually pretty good; it all depends on what you use the phone for each day. But there should be ample power storage for a day of normal usage.

For those of you that are unfamiliar with the term Swype or Swype technology, let's go over that. In essence, it allows you to slide your fingers over text characters using modern hardware and software. Optimus One has a specially built-in Swype keyboard on its digital display. When you type in a swiping fashion, the software is intelligent enough to determine the words you are swiping, or typing in a swiping movement. The more you use it, the more the software is able to notice patterns and remember. This latest technology is actually able to store hundreds of words that are common within your usual texting each day.

The advancements integrated into the LG will make all LG smartphone fans very happy. It is basically not possible to make everyone happy. For example, Flash enthusiasts will find the Optimus One to be lacking in processing power. However, we do feel that is a minority and the average phone user and web surfer will never know the difference since they rarely encounter Flash.

Something that's gaining popularity is possessing more than one cellular phone. And Sony Ericsson mobile phones seem to be leading the pack in this regard. Check with your neighborhood cell phone shop for additional information.
