How to Transfer Files from a PC to a HTC Evo 3D

By Gareth Jale

The HTC Evo 3D is a new breed of smart phone. Released by Google and manufactured by Samsung a little more than a month ago, this smart phone is the very first smart phone to incorporate Google's latest OS, Android 2.3, otherwise known as "Gingerbread". There are so many people talking about this mobile phone online (as well as offline), people wonder what can actually be done. Well, depending on how tech savvy you are or how familiar you are with smart phones in general, you might have a clear or a fuzzy idea about how to do various technical or fun things with the HTC Evo 3D and its cell phone accessories.

Now, before you just go ahead and start transferring files to your phone, it would be a good idea to figure out all the capabilities that your smart phone might have. Depending on what kind of files you are working with you might just be able to download them directly onto your mobile device. However, if you have a lot of files or a few files that for whatever reason cannot be downloaded multiple times, or some other similar situation, it might just be simpler to figure out how to transfer files.

Perhaps the simplest way to transfer a small file such as a picture or a document from your computer to your smart phone is to email it or send it as an attachment through a chat client. You can use virtually any email client to send a message from your computer, and you can access it in your HTC Evo 3D through the built in internet browser and wireless connectivity.

Now that you know how to transfer information back and forth between your computer and your phone, you might want to look into a few of the many accessories available that can help facilitate information transfer. You might also want to look into protective devices such as a screen protector or a case.

The screen protector is an essential accessory, especially for this mobile phone since it's a touch screen based phone. The screen is the heart of the phone, and if it gets damaged, it is costly to replace. Similarly, the body of the phone will be protected if you enclose it in a good case. An accessory that you might consider for your computer is an SD card reader, as discussed above, to facilitate the upload and download of important personal files. Keep in mind that mobile accessories will help make this process easier.
