A market of 4650 square meters in the center of the city ', a new offering of food consumption
A new structure of 4,650 square meters dedicated entirely to the big new market for the city of Moscow, built on the site of the historic city's central market. Located on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, designed by Russian architects Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands, the project offers three floors of retail food, a large and luxurious space dedicated to a restaurant, café and a spectacular rooftop with spectacular views of the historic center of the the city.
The most striking feature, and the thread that holds together all the floors of the building, is a spectacular suspended ceiling made of wrought stainless steel, which reflects, greatly amplifying the sensation of the indoor environment, the trucks and equipment for the display of the goods. It also directly relates to the geometry of the outer building that wraps around the floors. The stainless steel and highly polished products and reflects the visitors below, but creating deformations and displacements, in virtue of his being beaten, also reflects the light from the windows, doors even in the deepest parts of the structure, as well as that coming from skylight roof.
Already visible from the main entrance on the ground floor, the ceiling itself is configured as a response outside the palace: a clear sense of food supply, newly interpreted, not as the usual mall but as a place to spend a pleasant afternoon to discover a wide range of local and international. Certainly the future of food-retail.
